Communication interface
a) With modem infrared interface, RS485 communication interface; each interface is physically independent from each other; no other interfaces will be affected in case one interface is out of order;
b) Communication baud rate can be set up at standard rates such as 1200bps, 2400bps, 4800bps and 9600bps; the default baud rate designed for RS485 interface is 2400bps and that for modem infrared communication interface is 1200bps;
c) Communication protocol for the Smart Meter conforms with DL/T645-2007;
d) Communication distance of infrared communication interface ¡Ý 5m.

e) Effective electric isolation inside RS485 communication interface or carrier-wave module and the Smart Meter, which is also provided with measures against failure;
f) In the single-phase Smart Meter with carrier-wave communication, it's possible to set up the carrier-wave module interface with RS485 interface through software;
g) Either the load switch is built in or out, the user, after having successfully purchased the electricity, must switch on by himself through the local mode;
Range of Temperature
The range of working temperature specified is -25¡æ~+60¡æ; the extreme range of working temperature is -40¡æ~+70¡æ; and the extreme range of temperature for storage and transport is -40¡æ~+70¡æ;
Main Functions
1. Measurement function available for electric energy in forward and reverse direction, according to which active electric energy can be set;
2. Real-time calculation of the electricity charge inside the Smart Meter for local charge. When the balance is less or equal to the alarm amount as set, the Smart Meter will alarm the user through sound and light; when the balance is more than the set value (default at zero), it's possible to allow the Smart Meter at open state;
3. Able to measure voltage, current including current on neutral line, active power, and power factor and so on, with error (fiducial error) not more than ¡À1%;
4. Permanently record reset, programming, timing, power-down, remote on and off, and cover-up;
5. Having two sets of universal world time tables and possible to have time shift between the two sets of universal world time tables; having two sets of day time tables and possible to have time shift between the two sets of day time tables;
6. Data freezing is divided into timing freezing, instant freezing, day freezing, appointed freezing, and on-time freezing;
7. The Smart Meter has one interface for infrared communication, another interface for RS485 communication, one interface for carrier-wave communication, among which the interface for infrared communication, the interface for RS485 communication and that for carrier-wave communication are physically independent from each other; one interface broken down will not affect the working of other interfaces. Besides, photoelectric isolation is available inside the communication interface and the Smart Meter, along with protection circuit against failure;
8. Carrier-wave communication: communication between the Smart Meter and the carrier-wave communication module follows DL/T645-2007 protocol and the document filed. External plug-and-play carrier-wave communication module is used, and the carrier-wave communication interface has protection circuit for failure, i.e. before the communication module is connected and after it's connected or when it's replaced, the performance of the Smart Meter, the operations parameters and regular measurement will not be affected. |
